Remote access to Mathematica
You can access Mathematica (and other software) remotely from any Windows machine.
1. If you are off-campus, you first need to establish a VPN connection. (Instructions how to do this can be found at IT's web site).
2. Log onto the remote server 'utepsoftware.utep.edu'. (Go to: All programs->Accessories->Remote Desktop Connection). Use your usual credentials. Voila!
If you have trouble, the new Student Technology Support Center on the third floor of the Library can provide assistance with this procedure as well as help you with other technology-related issues (help with your laptops, setting up UTEP's wireless network on your computer, setting up a VPN connection, how to use mspace, how to use blackboard, installation of software legally obtained, etc.).
